Man accused of murdering his parents will not stand trial, yet

(Dennis Brian Gluck will not be tried for murder)…The 44 year old Carlsbad man was accused of hacking his parents to death with a machete. Following the gruesome act in January, Gluck reportedly fled to Mexico. He was tracked to Mexicali, and arrested in Baja California in February. A superior Court Judge in San Diego has now determined Gluck is not mentally competent to stand trial. The Judge ordered the suspect to Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino County for up to three years. Criminal proceedings were suspended. If Doctors at Patton determine his sanity has been restored, the case will resume. The family has said Gluck suffered from bipolar disorder.
