2 Injured In Sunday Rollover Accident

Yuma Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a rollover accident at 5th Avenue and 11th Street shortly after noon Sunday. According to the Yuma Fire Department , a Toyota pickup truck was on its roof when emergency responders arrived. A Ford pickup was also involved in the accident but remained upright. Yuma Police said that the Toyota was eastbound on 11th and the Ford northbound on 5th when they collided. Two occupants of the Toyota were trapped in the overturned truck. They were extricated by Yuma Fire personnel using hydraulic tools. The two were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with what were said to be non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
