SAN DIEGO -- The 2006 National League West Champion San Diego Padres today announced their 2007 Spring Training schedule, in what will be the club's 14th Spring in Peoria, AZ.

Padres pitchers and catchers report to Peoria on February 15, while position players report five days later on February 20 before beginning the 31-game Cactus League slate, including 14 Peoria Stadium home games.

The Padres, winners of their fifth National League West title in 2006, begin play on March 1 in their annual Charity Game against the Seattle Mariners. Official Cactus League action begins March 2, as the Padres again host the Mariners at Peoria Stadium.

The 2007 Spring schedule features 11 day games and three night games at Peoria Stadium, concluding with a three-game set against the Arizona Diamondbacks with two games being played at Chase Field (March 29 and 31). Following the final game against the D'Backs, the team returns to San Diego for a workout on April 1 before kicking off the regular season on April 3 at San Francisco. The Padres 2007 home opener is scheduled for April 6 vs. the Colorado Rockies at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets for all Padres Spring Training games at Peoria Stadium will go on sale January 13 and can be purchased at the Peoria Stadium box office, by calling Ticketmaster at (480) 784-4444 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Spring Training tickets will also be available for purchase at the PETCO Park box office at a date yet to be determined.
