With the team in the middle of one of its most exciting seasons in years, the San Diego Chargers kick off the sale of 2007 season ticket on Friday that includes an added benefit for new customers: the opportunity to purchase tickets to potential home playoff games this season.

Season ticket holders are the only fans guaranteed the opportunity to purchase tickets to home playoff games. And the Chargers’ season ticket base has exceeded 56,000, so interested new customers shouldn’t wait long.

New customers are guaranteed the right to buy tickets to any home playoff games this season by making a non-refundable deposit on season tickets for 2007.

The lure of playoff tickets this season and a list of formidable opponents next season are sure to attract the fans’ interest. The Chargers’ 2007 home schedule includes games against some of the NFL’s toughest teams, including Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, and Brian Urlacher and the Chicago Bears. Other teams coming to San Diego include the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and AFC West rivals Denver, Kansas City and Oakland.

Season ticket prices for 2007 will range from $45 to $81, reflecting an average increase of $9. However prices in the entire View Level will remain unchanged in ’07. Season ticket purchasers receive a savings of up to $140 a year over single-game purchases.
