Pro Bowl Running Back LaDainian Tomlinson – “I think it‘s really great. If you look at the history of the Chargers, going back to when Lance Alworth was playing in the Powder Blues; Dan Fouts and the uniforms they had, and then you go to the era of Stan Humphries and Junior Seau … all of those guys had their identity … their kind of uniform that made it unique for their teams.
Well, I think it is time for us to have our identity, with our jerseys. This is our era. We’ve got great guys on this team and this is going to be the San Diego Chargers for years to come. So I think it is only right to have our own new jerseys and create our own era and our own identity.” 
Pro Bowl Linebacker Shawne Merriman - “It’s time for a new tradition in San Diego and our new uniform is just the thing to get that tradition started. I love the look, the fabric, the design…everything. It’s more of an athletic look.”
Quarterback Philip Rivers - “Unique. I think they give uniqueness to this team … to our personality. It has all of the same great colors, but it has been tweaked for this team. You know it’s really an honor that they’ve chosen our team to be the first to wear this new uniform.”
Chargers Linebacker Shaun Phillips - “I think it’s hot. I can’t wait to get on the field in them. When I saw them for the first time, I really liked them a lot. All the guys that I’ve talked to agree. We’re excited about the change.”
Pro Bowl Fullback Lorenzo Neal - “I love our new uniforms. I can’t wait to hit the field. I’m excited about them because it’s showing the new identity of the Chargers. All the greats of the past, like Lance Alworth, Chuck Muncie and Kellen Winslow had their identity. We’re not changing much; all we’re doing is adding a little bit of flavor and giving it a new style. I give the new uniform a 10.5 for style points.”
Pro Bowl Center Nick Hardwick - “It’s aggressive looking. It’s fast. It ties in the history of our team with where we are going to take this team. I like it because it gives us a little edge.”
Pro Bowl Special Teamer Kassim Osgood - “Our new uniform is not only a great fashion statement, but it reflects the way we play on the field — tough and fast. The new era has begun.”
Pro Bowl Long Snapper David Binn - “These new uniforms are awesome. After playing for 13 years, it’s great to be a part of something so new and innovative.”
Pro Bowl Tackle Marcus McNeill - “We’ve got a lot of young guys that are going to be here for quite a while. We’re the new face of the Chargers and now we have a nice new look to go with that. I really like the uniforms. They’re sharp.”
