(National Prescription Drug Take Back Day)…It has been postponed until the spring at the earliest.

This was due to the current COVID 19 pandemic. The Drug Enforcement Administration hosts a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day twice a year. Because of the delay, the DEA has come up with another campaign. It is the Secure Your Meds campaign. It is an awareness campaign that addresses a vital public safety and health issue. Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse. The campaign also prompts families to discuss the issue of controlled prescription drug abuse. The DEA wants Americans to clean out their medicine cabinets and secure unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications, to be disposed at the next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, once a new date is set.
