(Inmate found dead)….It was reported at 6:25 Monday morning.
Deputy Coroner Rodolfo Barron says an inmate at the Centinela State Prison informed prison staff his cellmate did not appear to be alive. Staff checked on the man and found he was, indeed, dead. The deceased inmate was identified as 40-year-old Bronico Jeffers, originally from Porterville, California. Barron says there were no signs of foul play on the body. An autopsy will be performed to try and determine a cause of death. If toxicology tests are needed, it could be six to eight weeks before the results are known.
