Deputy Coroner Steven Green says Oscar Vargas, a 54-year-old Cal Trans employee, died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma in a single vehicle collision on Interstate 8, near In-Koh-Pah. He said it was confirmed the 62-year-old Salton City resident died as a result of heat stroke and environmental hypothermia. The cause of death for 26-year-old Guadalupe Aguilar is pending toxicology tests. And Chief Deputy Coroner Sergeant Eric Frazier says the cause of death for 52-year-old Molly Laoiza is also pending toxicology tests. Those test results could take between 6-8 before they are returned.
