(Cal Fire Busy)…Fires have been reported all over the state.
This is due to the extreme dry conditions. In the extreme Southern part of the state, Cal Fire is working two fires. At last report, firefighters have gotten the upper hand on the Wildcat Fire. That fire in Wildcat Canyon in East San Diego County, is reportedly 78% contained. That fire started Wednesday and has burned 170 acres. No injuries have been reported. Just North of the Imperial County, Cal Fire is fighting the Grapefruit Fire. That fire began Thursday afternoon off Grapefruit Boulevard, near Highway 111, in Thermal. At last report, that fire has burned over 60 acres, and is just 25% contained. Officials say no structures are threatened at this time. There have been no evacuations and no injuries reported.
