Two people were arrested after Border Patrol Agents discovered methamphetamine disguised as ice pops in their car.

A Border Patrol canine unit at the Highway 78 Immigration Checkpoint near Blythe alerted to a car Sunday afternoon. The car was referred to secondary inspection where agents discovered a cooler containing brightly colored bags disguised as frozen ice pops. The ice pops were actually methamphetamine with a total weight of over 9 pounds. The driver , a 28-year old woman , and her passenger , a 38-year old man , were both arrested.
