The fireworks spectacular that was the finale of the 18th Annual Freedom Fest wowed a crowd estimated at over 50,000 on and around the campus of Imperial Valley College. The fireworks finished off a patriotic celebration that attracted a hugh crowd to the local college campus. Entertainment started at 6:00 PM with BMX and skateboard demonstrations. Live entertainment as well as patriotic speeches were also part of the show. Static displays, food booths and demonstrations kept the crowd entertained until the 9:30 fireworks. Freedom Fest Committee member Kurt Hoffman told KXO News that the crowd was incredibly well behaved and seemed to enjoy this years show more than any of the previous years.
