Super Bowl XLII is Sunday and it's hard to figure out  which team I want to win.

The New York Giants and the New England Patriots meet Sunday afternoon at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale , Arizona. It's Super Bowl XLII and for a lot of us who are San Diego Chargers fans it's going to be a tough call which team we want to win. The Patriots are a pretty good team that took advantage of a relativily weak schedule. Sure they beat the Chargers this year, twice. The first time early in the season when the San Diego club was still rying to learn a new system under a new coach. The second time, in the AFC Chanpionship game nearly two weeks ago, when they faced a quarterback with out a knee ligament, the NFL's best running back on the bench and the premier tight end in the league at far less than full strenght. We don't even have to mention a place kicker with a broken leg. But  to be sure, the Pats won fair and square. Which is kind of a strange thing to say about a Bill Belichick coached team. The Patriots do represent the AFC and perhaps that alone could be enough reason to cheer for them. To consider the New York Giants I have to get past the snub that Eli Manning tossed at not only the San Diego Chargers but also Southern California and the entire nation west of the Mississippi ( Yes Woody, there is more to this great country than New York .)  Eli has finally shown that he is an NFL quarterback and he has a pretty  good team around him. But can Eli continue to make the right decisions when he's under pressure. He has not been consistant in that respect all year. If you can get him to shuffle out of the pocket you can beat him and the Giants. Eli is no Tom Brady and for that we are thankful. One pretty boy quarterback per game is enough. I guess I'll tune in the game with the idea that one team has to win and I don't really care which one finishes on top as long as the game is entertaining and the beer and guacamole lasts till the final gun.Super Bowl XLII will be heard on KXO AM1230 with coverage beginning at 2:00 PM.
