KXO Radio will begin weekly broadcasts of local high school football games on Friday August 31 when the Central Spartans host the Mustangs of Otay Ranch High School in Chula Vista. Once again the KXO Friday night broadcast team will include Matt Juleson, Jon Driffill and Carroll Buckley. Flor Gonzales handles the technical directors duties from the studio.
Buckley and Driffill have been broadcasting local games for over 25 years. Juleson is the newcomer to the team with over 5 years with the team. The El Centro station will again split the season between the Central Union High School Spartans of Coach Kevin Bird and the Southwest High School Eagles under new head coach Jack Trujillo. The Spartans finished t\last year with a 9 and 1 regular season mark that included a dramatic 14 - 7 win over the Brawley Widcats that sealed the Imperial Valley League Championship and returned the Victory Bell to the county seat. The Eagles finished last year with a 6 and 4 record.

Friday November 9 Central vs Brawley * ( Bell Game )
