The San Diego State athletic department has signed a multiyear agreement to make Ticketmaster its exclusive ticketing provider for all Aztec Athletics home events.The change represents a major upgrade to SDSU’s ticketing and development services without overall increases in ticketing fees, while providing Aztec season ticket holders with services that have never been available before. Among the many new features are the ability for season ticket holders to transfer tickets to friends, family, and business associates online and the option for single-game purchasers to print their tickets at home, bypassing lines at the ticket windows and will call windows on game day. Season ticket holders in donor areas will also have the ability to resell their tickets online for games they cannot attend. In addition, Aztec fans will now be able to purchase tickets to home events for football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, softball and water polo at Ticketmaster locations throughout Southern California. Previously, only men’s and women’s basketball single-game tickets were available through Ticketmaster.“SDSU Athletics is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Ticketmaster” said Jim Cordova, assistant athletic director for ticket operations. “This partnership will allow us to offer some great new services to our most loyal fans, while making tickets to Aztec athletic events more accessible than ever in San Diego County and Southern California.”Season ticket holders will still be able to manage their accounts, pay invoices online and donate to the Aztec Athletic Foundation (AAF) through the official athletic department website, GoAztecs.com. Additional details and new ticket office policies will be mailed to season ticket holders with their season ticket packages.  Donors who are not season ticket holders will receive information in a separate mailing. Current season ticket holders and donors will have new account numbers once the conversion has been completed.
