(Coyotes come in all shapes and sizes, and sexes, as well)….They are called Coyotes in the United States. In Mexico, they are called Polleros.

This week the Municipal Police in Mexicali arrested La Pollera Colorada. And she had a full load of people in her stolen pick-up. The arrest was made in Mexicali, but officials say 25-year-old Josefina Moreno Villa was headed for the frontier, with an ultimate destination of Los Angeles, California. Police say they were notified by the U.S. Border Patrol of a suspicious red pick-up driving up and down the road on the Mexican side of the border. Police stooped the pick-up, determined it was stolen and arrested the driver. In the vehicle, they found 15 Mexican nationals hiding inside. Those hiding in the vehicle were from Michoacan, Puebla, Yucatan, Guerrero, Morelos and the State of Mexico. They all admitted to paying their female driver between $2,500 and $3,000 each for illegal transportation to Los Angeles. They were all release, and Moreno Villa was taken into custody. She was charged with attempted human smuggling and possession of a stolen vehicle. It was determined the stolen ford pick-up had been used in a previous robbery.
