Workshop scheduled for strategic plan

(Facilitator hired to help with strategic plan)….The Imperial Irrigation District has hired Dolly Mack, a professional facilitator. Mack will assist the Board of Directors, management, employees and the public in the development of a strategic plan. The plan will roadmap for the organization in the next 10 years. A public workshop to discuss the strategic plan will be held July 15 at 2:00 pm, at Condit Auditorium in El Centro. The workshop will precede the IID Board’s informational meeting. Another workshop will be held in La Quinta, but no date has been set for that workshop. During the workshop, the Board will review and discuss mission and vision statements, a summary of identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, key findings from an employee survey and a summary of strategic objectives and targeted activities for immediate consideration. General Manager Brian Brady says the Energy Conservation Advisory Commission has been invited to attend both workshops. The Directors said Tuesday that City and County representatives should also be invited to attend the workshops.
