Woman drives into El Centro store

(Imperial woman drives into a convenience store)….El Centro police say the 37 year old woman and her two children were not injured in the incident. Blanca Navarro reportedly told police she was driving up to the parking area of the 7/11 Store on Adams Avenue Sunday when the brakes on her vehicle failed. The vehicle ran through the front window of the store, but did not hit any customers. An investigation is under way to determine if the woman inadvertently stepped on the gas pedal, instead of the brake pedal at the time of the incident. Police say they suspect the Imperial woman would be responsible for the damages to the store and the merchandise destroyed
