 Former Imperial Valley residents Jay and Kendra Jeffcoat came back from a Colorado vacation to find that their Poway home had been totally destroyed in the Witch Creek Fire that is sweeping through San Diego County.
Jay spoke with KXO Radio's Carroll Buckley Thursday morning as he was waiting to get through police lines to get to the house. Jeffcoat already knew that the house was gone but wanted to look for anything that might remain. Kendras small dog was rescued from the burning house by a neighbor who had been caring for the animal. As President George Bush toured the devastated neighborhood he met with Jay and Kendra Jeffcoat. |
