(Somebody is puncturing the water jugs)…..Water stations have been placed in the desert for a few years now.

John Hunter, the founder of the project, says the water stations are used by people as a last resort. He says vandalism of the water stations could eventually cost lives. It is being reported seven of the 42 water stations set up near Highway 98 have been vandalized. Hunter’s group is offering a $1,000 reward for information surrounding the destruction of the gallon water jugs being punctured. The U.S. Border Patrol says the number of people who have died crossing the border illegally has almost doubled from the same period last year.
