(The new Veterans Clinic will have a booth at this year’s Freedom Fest)….Sterling Medical, who owns the new VA Imperial valley Clinic in El Centro will be hosting the booth at I V C on July 4. The booth will be manned by Clinic employees. Veterans will be able to get assistance in completing or just pick up enrollment forms. They will also get information on VA health benefits. There are currently over 6,000 veterans in Imperial County who are not enrolled for their VA health benefits. Sterling says they have acquired space outside the booth for Veteran Employment Service Specialist Rick Partridge Jr. and Imperial County Veteran Service Officer Saul Sanabria. They will be providing additional information for veterans. Several items will be given away at the booth, including a chance to win a free trip for two to the nation’s capital for a tour of the veteran’s monuments in Washington D.C. The trip includes air travel and Hotel, along with the special tour. The drawing is free to all veterans who visit the booth at Freedom Fest 2008.
