(Brawley man severely beaten Saturday night)…..Brawley Police Sergeant Perry Monita says the beating occurred in the parking lot of the A C C Hall.

 The Sergeant says the call came in at just before mid-night Saturday. Police responded to a call at the American Citizens Club and found the man badly beaten. He was taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital and then transferred to a San Diego are facility for treatment of serious head injuries. Monita did not identify the victim. The Sergeant said a Quincenera was being held at the establishment on “B” Street. The victim apparently tried to enter the event uninvited, not once, but twice. Monita said the last time he was escorted out by security at the event. He said police suspect he was beaten by partygoers who did not want the victim at the party. One of those partygoers was taken in for questioning. Monita said the mans clothes were taken for analysis. The Sergeant said investigators are waiting to question the victim or the results from the tests on the clothes before they name any suspects.
