Time/Warner office in Brawley broken into

(Cable Company employees in Brawley without munchies Tuesday)….Brawley police were called to the Time/Warner Cable office at around 6:15 Tuesday morning. Officers found somebody had broken the glass and entered the building. Sergeant Perry Monita say it appears the only thing taken was a candy machine. The Sergeant said the vending machine sold gum, candy and chips to the employees at the office. He said there are no suspects in custody. Monita said the business area around where the Cable Company incident occurred there have been several incidents. The Sergeant called them smash and grab incidents, where suspects smash the front window of a business and grab whatever is close at hand. The crime is quick, and difficult to catch suspects in the act.
