(Calexico School District reaches tentative agreement with Classified employees)….The California School Employees Association Calexico Unified Chapter 399 came to a tentative agreement with the District this week. The agreement must still be ratified by the rank and file. Not many details of the agreement are being released. Officials say they want to put the proposal before the employee members before releasing very much publicly. The agreement does provide the employees with an additional holiday. If the tentative document is ratified the employees will get Cesar Chavez’s birthday off, beginning next year. Officials say the new contract would cover the next three years. It is expected to go before the rank and file for a vote during Classified Employees week May 18-24. Employees will probably have their vote on May 19. |
