Suspected bank robber arrested

(Suspected bank robber caught)…El Centro Police Sergeant Jeff Mason said the suspect was arrested at around 9:30 Tuesday morning. The suspect, 63-year-old Terry Lee Robbins, had been wanted for the robbery of the Community Valley Bank Monday. Mason said they found the suspect in a room at Brunner’s Motel on Imperial Avenue. The Sergeant said Robbins was taken into custody without incident. Mason said Police officers and local F B I agents worked leads throughout Monday afternoon and into the night. Tuesday morning, through a variety of sources, Mason said Robbins was identified and located. He said several items of interest were found with the suspect in the motel room. Robbins was being booked into County Jail on a single charge of robbery.
