(County not happy with Attorney General)….Tuesday the Board of Supervisors said they had received a letter from Jerry Brown.

The letter said, because of the current state budget crisis, the Department of Justice would begin charging for various services. Among the services would be forensic services. Supervisor Larry Grogan was very upset with the letter. He said if Brown were allowed to implement the change, it would cost Imperial County around $413,000 per year. He said that was an added cost the County could not afford. Grogan said he doubted the Attorney General had anything to do with the state Budget process. He did not say what options the County had if Brown follows through on the letter.
