A traffic accident early Sunday afternoon resulted in fatal injuries. The accident occurred at 12:59 at the Heber Curve on Highway 86 south of El Centro.A vehicle slammed into a utility pole causing fatal injuries to the driver. The California Highway Patrol , The Imperial County Sheriffs Department and the Imperial County Coroners Office responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
