(Judge denies class action petition in Q S A suit)…Sacramento Judge Candy has ruled against the creation of a class.

According to the ruling issued recently, the suit against the Quantification Settlement Agreement will include the parties currently on record. That includes Mike Morgan of the Imperial Group, Holtz and the County of Imperial. The County is concerned with air quality issues at the Salton Sea resulting from issues in the Q S A. Kevin Kelley of the Imperial Irrigation District said the ruling benefits all concerned. Kelley said the creation of a class would have meant longer and much more expensive litigation. There was no word as to when the suit, as it is, would be heard in the State Capital.
