(Strike team is off again)….The 20 man team recently returned from Northern California. Now they are off again.

The team left Saturday to Mariposa. They will assist in the so-called Telegraph Fire. The team consists of five firefighters each from the Yuma, El Centro, Brawley and Imperial County Departments. They are using the engine from the Yuma Department. Kayla Holiman, a Fire Inspector with the Yuma Department, said the team left Saturday. She said they have arrived, and have already been put to work. She says the team is reportedly tired but in good spirits. The team just returned from Northern California just over a week ago. In early July, two Imperial County teams were sent to help in Northern California.
