El Centro, California - A pair of robbers stuck up the Circle Store at 480 Brighton Avenue in El Centro early this morning.
While not quite Butch and Sundance, the pair , a man and a woman confronted a clerk at the Brighton Avenue Circle K Store at about 12:50 AM. The man was described as a Mexican male about 30 to 40 years old , about 5'9" , weighing 170 to 200 pounds , with a heavy build, shaved head and moustache. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a Corona logo, baggie blue jeans and dark sunglasses. The woman was described as a Mexican female, 5'6" , 140 to 160 pounds, 30 to 40 years old with long dark hair. She was wearing a green tank top , denim skirt and dark sunglasses and has a tattoo on her left shoulder and left ankle.The pair were armed with a revolver and a knife.The robbers confronted the lone clerk in the store. The man brandished the revolver and the woman went around the counter and took cash from the store register. According to witnesses , after robbing the store, the two suspects are believed to have gotten in a small, dark ( possibly black ) vehicle that had been parked on 5th Street. The vehicle was last seen northbound 5th Street. Anyone with any information on the robbery is encouraged to contact the El Centro Police Department at 760 - 337 - 4525 and talk with detective Leo Bulong. |
