(MANA honorees to be announced)…..The 2008 Las Primeras honorees will be introduced tonight. The special event will be held at Applebee’s in Calexico. MANA de Imperial Valley President Ruth Montenegro will be joined by Vice President Juanita Salas and Hildy Carrillo-Rivera, Las Primeras Committee Chair to introduce the new honorees. The event will start at 6:00 pm. MANA will host their annual Gala in October. The honorees will be recognized publicly at that event. Nominations have been accepted for the last couple months from residents around the Valley. |
