Border Patrol agents seized 98 bundles of marijuana valued at $1.3 million Friday near the Yuma Foothills. Agents assigned to the Yuma Sectors Wellton Station discovered an abandoned pick up truck about 6 miles south of Foothills Boulavard at about 9:00 a.m. The Ford F-150 , reported to have been stolen in Yuma in August , was crammed full of 98 bundles of marijuana in the bed and the cab. Three flat tires had brought the smuggling attempt to a halt in the desert. Agents believe the truck entered the U.S. illegally about 20 miles south of where it was found. The marijuana weighed a total of 1,676 pounds and is valued at over $1,340,000. The drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
