(Imperial Avenue in Calexico closed)…There is a major traffic tie-up in Calexico. City workers have closed off Imperial Avenue before and after the Third Street intersection. Officials say a sewer collapse was discovered at the intersection at around 11:00 Monday night. The collapse occurred under the center median. Crews have been on the scene ever sense. The sewer line is being repaired and the collapse filled in. They anticipate Imperial Avenue will remain closed until at least 10:00 Tuesday night.
