(Interpreting Students offered scholarships)…The California Court Interpreters Association is offering the scholarships.

The CCIA says they will grant scholarships to students enrolled in the Court Interpreting Certificate program at San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus who wish to attend the annual CCIA conference in San Diego October 11 and 12. The Certificate Program consists of four three-unit courses, offered one per semester. It is open to bilingual English-Spanish fully matriculated SDSU students at no extra cost beyond their regular semester registration fees and to non-matriculated students via SDSU’s Open University. The next course in the series, Spanish 493, Advanced English-Spanish Translation, will start Friday, September 4 at 4:10 pm. CCIA President Jo Ann Breez will be on hand to award scholarships to those willing to attend the October conference. Regular classes at both SDSU-Imperial Valley Campus’s in Calexico and Brawley begin Tuesday, September 2nd.
