(Deadline close for Tzu Chi Scholarships)….The Tzu Chi Foundation is offering $500 scholarships through the San Diego State University/Calexico Campus Financial aide office. The deadline to apply is September 30. Applications are available at the Financial Aide office, Suite 11 at 101 West Hacienda Drive in Calexico. To qualify students must have a 3.0 Grade Point Average, be full time students, carrying 12 units or more. They will be required to write a one-page essay on the purpose of the Tzu Chi Foundation, submit a personal statement, provide proof of income, a picture I.D. and have an exceptional financial need. Scholarship recipients will be required to perform 20 hours community service with the Foundation. |
