KXO RADIO - Saturday Grand Opening of renovated Park

(The County is ready to show off their renovation project)….It is the culmination of many hours of hard work, much of it voluntary. It is the renovation of the Sunbeam Lake Park. County Planning and Development Director Jurg Hueberger spearheaded the project. He was not available Friday morning, but his office confirmed the park was ready to open. The Grand Opening for the Park is Saturday, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. The Dedication ceremonies will be held at around 10:00 am. The event will feature food, music and entertainment for children. The park will show off exhibition games at the various fields and BMX bike track. Fire Departments, Law Enforcement and Car Clubs will set up exhibits. The swimming lagoon is expected to be open, as well as the lake for boaters. Hueberger said earlier this week that the County Supervisors have volunteered to participate in the dunking booth. He said Tuesday they will minimize the number of vehicles on the Park grounds. Those who have put in so many hours to ensure the renovation project was a success will be recognized during the dedication ceremonies. KXO Radio will broadcast from the new Sunbeam Lake Park during the Grand Opening.
