(The Sheriff’s Department recognizes their outstanding employees)….The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office 2007-08 awards ceremony was held Thursday evening at the Old Eucalyptus School House. About 150 people attended the gathering that included dinner and several awards presentations. The 2007 Deputy of the Year Award went to Edgardo Rodriguez. The 2007 Correctional Officer Award was presented to Michael Hodges. The Supervisor of the Year for 2007 was Sergeant Jose R. Alvarez. And, the Professional/Technical Employee of the Year for 2007 was Juan Govea. Lt. Rick Macken served as the Master of Ceremonies, with a welcome address from Sheriff Ray Loera.
