(Burns party set)…County Executive Officer Roberta Burns is retiring this month. The retirement party for the C E O has been scheduled for June 26, at the Old Eucalyptus School House on West Evan Hewes Highway. Burns has worked for the County for 36 years. She began her County career in the Social Services Department and worked her way up to the highest none elected job in the County. Her successor, Ralph Cordova Jr. was named a couple months ago. The former County counsel is set to take over the position July 1 or before. Michael Rood took over the County Counsel position last month.
