Red Cross Chapter CEO Jeffrey Wiemann was honored by The San Diego Magazine, he was selected to the  “50 People to Watch in 2007” list.

.

Gene Brister President & General Manager of KXO Radio commented,  “Jeff’s honor was justly deserved, his leadership skills and respect for his staff and volunteers will benefit all Imperial Valley’s residents, whenever and wherever we might need their assistance if disaster strikes.

Sylvia Preciado Director of the Imperial Valley Red Cross Service Center added, “Jeff Wiemann’s first words to me were - 'I need to know how I can help you - what can I do?'   From that moment on - Jeff has made Imperial Valley an equal focus within our Chapter's recovery.  Jeff has become well known among our local business and government leaders with his monthly CEO visits.  Through these dedicated visits Jeff has forged relationships with our community and its leaders. We are most pleased to have Jeff's support - he is truly assisting us.”

When we pressed Jeff for a comment he stated, "While I am humbled by the award, I really see it not as a recognition of me personally, but as a recognition of the Red Cross' important vision to become America's most prepared community and the tremendous work and commitment of all of our volunteers and staff in providing critical services within our community.  It is an honor to serve as CEO but it is the dedication of our volunteers who help people everyday that are truly making the difference."
