(IID Directors will be presented reconstituted ECAC)….The Imperial Irrigation District Directors will be asked to approve the reconstituted Energy Consumers Advisory Committee. The New ECAC was part of a six-point energy action plan announced jointly by IID General Manager Brian Brady and Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia on April 29, 2008. According to the plan, the District agreed to reconstitute their ECAC. The 20-member body, which meets monthly and advises the Board on policy matters affecting energy ratepayers, is currently made up of 10 members from the Imperial Valley and 10 members who reside in the Coachella Valley. The reconstituted ECAC will consist of the ten Board appointments and an equal number named by the Cities of Indio, Coachella, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and 3 at-large appointments made by Riverside County Supervisor Roy Wilson. Tuesday the IID Board will be asked to approve the reconstituted committee. The new ECAC will be seated at their next regular meeting November 3, if approved Tuesday. |
