| Late afternoon thunderstorms caused widespread flooding of roads in Imperial County today. Caltrans and Imperial County Road crews were busy closing roads from Palo Verde to the Elmore Ranch area of Highway 86. Ogilby Road at Highway 78 reported flooding as did the area around Huff and Wheeler Roads. There were several washouts reported from the flooding but no injuries. The National Weather Service had earlier issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the area. |
