Tropical moisture developed into scattered rain showere in the Valley.

Scattered rain storms did little damage as they swept through
the Imperial Valley Thursday morning and afternoon. Heavy
rain was reported in the desert between Winterhaven and
Holtville but by the time the storm moved into the heart of  the
valley most of the thiunder , lightening and strong winds had
disappeared. There were several weather related accidents
attributed to the wet roads including a single car rollover at
4th and Park in El Centro. The SUV involved came to rest in
a dirt lot off the street. There were no injuries in that accident.
El Centro Police said the wet street and road film were the
likely cause of the accident.
