The Imperial Valley League Champion Brawley Wildcats will open C.I.F. San Diego section Division III playoff action Friday night when they host Montgomery High School of the Metro Conference. Coach John Bishop's Wildcats ( 7 - 3 ) , fresh off a 7 - 0 victory over the Central Spartans in the Bell game will meet the Aztecs ( 6 - 3 ) at Warne Field. The Calexico Bulldogs ( 5 - 4 ) under first year head coach Alfie Silva will travel to Vista to meet Rancho Buena Vista ( 6 - 3 ) on the Longhorns home field in a Division I playoff game.In Division V playoff action Steve Cato's Imperial Tigers ( 6 - 3 ) will host the Julien Eagles who will bring a 5 and 3 record to the game. The Holtville Vikings ( 5 - 4 ) of Coach C.J. Johnston will host the 2 and 7 Olympian Eagles of Chula Vista and the Vincent Memorial Scots ( 4 - 4 ) of Coach Dave Drury will meet the Eagles of Tri -City Christian of Vista at the Southwest High School field in El Centro. In a game that will be broadcast on KXO AM 1230 the Central Spartans of Coach Kevin Bird will take their 6 and 3 record on the road to Lincoln High School where they will meet Lincolns Hornets ( 5 - 4 ) Friday night. The KXO broadcast crew of Jon Driffill, Matt Juleson and Carroll Buckley will be on the air at 7:15 PM with the pre-game show. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
