(High levels of Ozone reported)…The Imperial County Air Pollution Control District reported the high levels in Westmorland Thursday.

Levels reached unhealthy for sensitive groups at 11:00 am Thursday. The index for ozone was an 8-hour average. The Environmental Protection Agency says the levels reached would affect children and older adults with asthma and other respiratory problems. They recommend those individuals reduce prolonged physical activity. It is recommended that those who exercise do so in the morning before air quality reaches unhealthy levels. Moderate air quality levels were reported in Calexico, El Centro and Niland Thursday.
