Over $1.1 million in narcotics seized at Calexico Ports PDF Print E-mail

(Customs and Border Protection officers have a productive 6 days)….Officers at the Calexico Ports of Entry say over $1.1 million in narcotics were seized.

 Starting on July 5, when CBP officers seized 50 pounds of cocaine, there were 13 seizures altogether. During the six-day period officers at the two Calexico Ports seized 97 pounds of cocaine, 14 pounds of methamphetamine, and 453 pounds of marijuana. The total value of the seized narcotics is estimated at $1,107,700. Port officers seized the 13 vehicles carrying the narcotics, and arrested those driving the vehicle. The narcotics and suspects were turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further investigation.
