(Calexico canine finds $3.8 million worth of marijuana)…Sergeant Gonzalo Gerardo says the Calexico Police canine unit was out checking random lots Saturday. When they got to the Storage compound on Scaroni Road, next to Mountain View Cemetery, they hit the jackpot. The Sergeant says the canine alerted to a U-Haul. Officers searched the U-Haul and found 1,265 pounds of marijuana inside. Gerardo said the marijuana was valued at close to $3.8 million. Police confiscated the drug. Sergeant Gerardo says no arrests were made, but leads are being followed, as the investigation continues.
