(El Centro does very well over the Independence Day Holiday)….The California Highway Patrol says the Holiday period began July 3^rd and ended in the morning of July 5^th. During that period Officer Wes Boerner says there were only 5 DUI arrests, much less than the 60 recorded last year. Collisions remained the same at 3. Boerner says there were no fatalities in the El Centro sector this year, as compared to one last year. Throughout Southern California, San Diego reported one fatality and 48 DUI arrests. In Orange County there were only 19 DUI arrests and no fatal injury accidents.
