No Fatalities, again, this Labor Day Weekend

(Labor Day numbers down across the board)….The El Centro Sector California Highway Patrol released the holiday statistics for the 3-day weekend. According to the numbers released Tuesday morning, there were five Property Damage collisions over this Labor Day Weekend, down from 12-reported last year. There were 3 injury collisions this year as compared to 5 last Labor Day Weekend. The C H P made 14 DUI arrests, down from 22 DUI arrests during last years Holiday Weekend. There were no fatal injury accidents this, the same as last year. Officer Wes Boerner said it was significant that all stats were down. The most significant stat, however, was that Imperial County has now gone two years without a fatal injury accident during the Labor Day Weekend.
