New Air Ambulance service Imperial County

(New Helicopter in service)….The $5 million Eurocopter EC 135 is providing Air Ambulance Service to both El Centro Regional Medical Center and Pioneers Memorial Hospital. The Helicopter is stationed at Imperial County Airport by REACH Air Medical Services. REACH is headquartered in Santa Rosa, California. The enhanced air ambulance service was recruited by both hospitals, and for the first time is exclusively available to the Imperial County community 365 days a year. A helicopter welcome celebration is scheduled for 9:00 am August 7 at El Centro Regional Medical Center. The celebration will include tours of hospital’s rooftop heliport. Demonstrations of the handling of patients arriving or departing by helicopter will also be conducted.
