Nearly 6,000 Unprocessed Ballots Remain

Imperial County Registrar of Voters Dolores Provencio says that as of Friday morning 5,991 ballots from Tuesdays election still need to be processed. Provencio told KXO News that the Elections Department needs to verify 2,398 absentee ballots. There are 1,298 provisional ballots and 2,295 damaged ballots that also need verification. The process will continue to determine how many of the ballots will actually be added to the election results.
