(Investigators look into the murder of an 82 year old woman)…The body of Elsa Hechonova was found Wednesday night at her home in the 100 block of Danenberg Road.

Sheriff Department Investigators say the apparent homicide was part of a home invasion. Deputy Coroner investigator Kevin White said the cause of death would be determined after an autopsy is performed. Sheriff Investigative Sergeant Miguel Leon said it is believed the injuries on the woman’s body probably caused her death. He would not confirm the woman was beaten to death. The Sergeant said the suspect or suspects made off with the victim’s vehicle. Leon said the public is being asked to report the vehicle if it is spotted. The vehicle is described as a white 2001 Volvo S40. The vehicle is bearing a Nevada license plate 922 NXC. Any information on the vehicle or the home invasion should be reported to the Sheriff’s Department by calling 339-6311. The Sergeant says the suspect or suspects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
